Peter Bamler

Peter Bamler (born May 14, 1964 in Lindau , Bavaria ) is a German actor and director in theater, film and television. Peter Bamler has acted as an actor in many German-speaking theaters and participated in over 20 productions in film and television. He also works successfully as a radio play speaker on the radio.

life and career

Peter Bamler, born in 1964 in Lindau on Lake Constance, studied acting at the Berlin University of the Arts and graduated in 1988. This was followed by theater engagements in Osnabrück and at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus . Later he worked under Heinz Engels in many productions at the Deutsches Theater Göttingen ; Among other things he was seen as Pigden in Out of Control , Bleichenwang in What you want or as a helmet in Mr. Paul von Tankred Dorst .

He then played at the comedy in the Bayerischer Hof in Munich and went on tour in Germany , Austria and Switzerland . He was a guest at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe for two years , where he was seen in plays by Chekhov . He then appeared at the Augenspieltheater in Hall in Tirol and under the direction of Gabriel Barylli in Munich.

At the Landshut Landestheater Niederbayern he played under the theater director Volkmar Kamm and the director Martina Veh . At the Staatstheater Nürnberg he worked as a guest under the direction of Albert Lang. He also had engagements at the Alten Schauspielhaus in Stuttgart .

In the Berner Theater on Effingerstrasse , he embodied numerous different characters such as the Gestapo officer Mohr in The Interrogation , the Josef Tura in To Be or Not to Be , the Father Flynn in Doubt, the Mr. Robinson in The Graduation Examination , the Carlos in The Grönholm- Method or Vincent in The First Name .

In addition to his career at the theater, Bamler also took part in various film and television productions, including numerous documentaries and TV films such as The Riddle of the Snake Goddess , King Ludwig II of Bavaria - The Only True King , A Risky Game or Popular Series such as Lawyer Abel , Medicopter 117 - Every Life Counts or SOKO 5113 , Rosenheim-Cops, The Undertaker (SRF). Most recently in Der Verdacht , directed by Sabine Boss.

Peter Bamler has also worked as a theater director since 2011. In Bern he staged 37 postcards by Michael Mc Keever, A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy based on an idea by Woody Allen and Toutou by A. Toutenuit and D. Besse. 2018 he directed The Chinese of Benjamin Lauterbach in Schwarzenburg.
