Peter Larkin (born August 28, 1926 in Boston , Massachusetts , † December 16, 2019 in Bridgehampton , New York ) was an American set designer and film architect .

Larkin, who grew up in the greater Boston area, studied at Yale University and then worked as a production designer on New York Broadway theaters. Peter Larkin was already 53 years old when he received his first commission for a film architecture. Very early on, he designed the sets for high-quality cinema entertainment, including the comedies The Crazy Neighbors , Tootsie , Ruben, Ruben , Three More Men, Another Baby , Bean - The Ultimate Disaster Film and Miss Undercover . He rarely took on orders for other, more dramatic films. In 1997/98 Peter Larkin designed the buildings for the television series Maximum Bob . After the comedy A Boss to Fall in Love with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant , the 76-year-old quit working for the cinema.
