Peter M. Marton (* 1983 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Marton's mother is from Hungary , his father from Kenya . He first studied philosophy and theology before becoming an actor. From 2006 to 2010 he completed his acting training at the Vienna Conservatory . He had theater engagements on various stages, for example at the Wiener Kulturzentrum (WUK; 2006 as Aaron in Titus Andronicus ), at the Off-Theater in Vienna (2008), at the Drachengasse Theater in Vienna (2009), at the Waldviertler Hoftheater (2009; as Alfred in The Alpine King and the Misanthrope ) and at the Schauspielhaus Wien (2009 and 2010).

From 2010 to July 2013 he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Salzburg State Theater . His roles there included: Cassiel in Der Himmel über Berlin (2010), Jim O'Connor in Die Glasmenagerie (2010), Atalus in Woe to the one who lies! (2011), Sad in Dreck by Robert Schneider (2011), Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream (2011), Count Wronski in a stage version by Anna Karenina (2011), Count Dunois in The Maid of Orleans (2012), the roles of Barnabas / Der Teacher in a stage version of Das Schloss (2013) and Konstantin Treplev in Die Möwe (2013).

In the 2013/14 season he played the African magician Suruku in the Christmas fairy tale Aladin and the magic lamp at the Ingolstadt City Theater .

In September / October 2013 he played the colored welfare recipient and petty criminal Driss at the comedy Düsseldorf in the play Pretty Best Friends ; Directed by Pia Hänggi , his partners were Sigmar Solbach (as a paralyzed Philippe sitting in a wheelchair) and Kerstin Gänke . In December 2013 / January 2014 he made a guest appearance with this role and in this production at the Fritz Rémond Theater in Frankfurt am Main . In March / April 2015 he played this role again, this time at the Contra-Kreis-Theater in Bonn . From March to May 2016 he played the role of Driss again, this time at the comedy in the Bayerischer Hof in Munich .

In 2013 Marton made his television debut in the Austrian television series Cop Stories . In the Austrian television series Vorstadtweiber he was seen in three seasons (2015, 2016 and 2018) as the callboy Timo. In the television series Watzmann investigated , which will be broadcast in the evening program on Das Erste from May 2019 , Marton plays one of the two investigators in the lead role of detective inspector Jerry Paulsen alongside Andreas Giebel . In the ZDFneo detective series Dunkelstadt (2020), Marton took on one of the leading roles in the episode as Jerome Madaki, the only witness to the murder of a police investigator.

Marton lives in Vienna.
