Peter Schneider (politician, 1958)

Peter Schneider (born July 27, 1958 in Riedlingen ) is a CDU politician from Baden-Württemberg and President of the Baden-Württemberg Savings Banks Association .

Life

Peter Schneider attended elementary school in Zwiefalten and high school in Riedlingen. After graduating from high school, he studied law in Freiburg and Tübingen . After his second state examination , he was a department head at the Sigmaringen district office from 1986 to 1988 . From 1988 to 1992 he was the personal advisor to the Baden-Württemberg Minister of the Interior Dietmar Schlee .

Political career

Schneider joined the CDU in 1976. From 1992 to 2006 he was District Administrator of the Biberach district . From April 10, 2001 to 2016, he was a directly elected MP in constituency 66 (Biberach) and a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg ; since May 1, 2006 he has been president (head of the association) of the Sparkassenverband Baden-Württemberg.

Peter Schneider has been married to Rosemarie Schneider since 1978. He has two sons.
