Dietmar Schlee

Dietmar Schlee (* 31 March 1938 in quantities ; † 3. August 2002 in Tübingen ) was a German politician of the CDU . From 1975 to 1980 he was District Administrator of the Sigmaringen district , from 1980 to 1984 Minister of Social Affairs and from 1984 to 1992 Minister of the Interior of the State of Baden-Württemberg .

education and profession

After graduating from high school , Schlee studied law at the University of Tübingen and the University of Munich , which he completed in 1965 with the first state examination in law. During his studies he became a member of the KDStV Tuiskonia Munich and the AV Cheruskia Tübingen in the CV . After completing his legal clerkship at the Hechingen Regional Court, he passed the second state examination in 1968. He then worked as a lawyer in Sigmaringen . From 1992 to 1996 Schlee was a partner in the management consultancy Roland Berger & Partner International Management Consultants

Dietmar Schlee was married and had two children. He was chairman of the Association of Friends of the Archabbey of St. Martin eV and from 1993 to 1995 Chairman of the Association of Friends and Sponsors of the University of Applied Sciences Sigmaringen eV

Political party

Schlee was Secretary General of the CDU Baden-Württemberg from 1973 to 1975 . From 1973 to 1977 he was deputy chairman and from 1977 to 1997 chairman of the CDU Württemberg-Hohenzollern .

From 1972 to 1994 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .

From 1994 until his death he was a member of the German Bundestag . Schlee was always a directly elected member of the Bundestag constituency of Zollernalb - Sigmaringen . Most recently, he received 49.8% of the first votes in the 1998 federal election . He was again nominated as a constituency candidate for the 2002 Bundestag election, but died a month and a half before the election. A replacement election had to be scheduled, but it could be held on the same day as the main election.

Public offices

After the election of April 8, 1975, Dietmar Schlee was introduced to the office of District Administrator of the Sigmaringen district on May 23, 1975. Schlee held this office until June 3, 1980, when he was appointed Minister for Labor, Health and Social Affairs of the State of Baden-Württemberg. After his appointment to Stuttgart, the office was passed to his successor Jürgen Binder .

From 1980 to 1984 Schlee was a Minister for Labor, Health and Social Affairs in the state government of Baden-Württemberg led by Prime Minister Lothar Späth . After the state elections in 1984 he was appointed Minister of the Interior . He kept this office under the Prime Minister Erwin Teufel , who was in office from 1991 . After the state elections in 1992, he left the state government.

From 1997 to 1998 he was the Federal Government Commissioner for Refugee Return and Return Reconstruction in Bosnia and Herzegovina .

Honors

In 1978 he was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany and on May 6, 1989 with the Medal of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg . On June 7, 1993 he was made an honorary senator of the Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences (today Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences ). The award ceremony took place in Sigmaringen Castle.
