Stefanie Bürkle (* 20 July 1969 as Stefanie Angele in Biberach ) is German lawyer , politician ( CDU ) and, since 2014 full-time district administrator of the Sigmaringen district .

Career

Bürkle was born in 1969 as the only daughter among four children of Gertrud (née Schmid) and Artur Angele (1935–2014) in Biberach an der Riss, where she grew up. Between 1986 and 1987 she attended a high school in Hattiesburg , Mississippi, on a grant from the German Bundestag . In 1989 she graduated from the Pestalozzi-Gymnasium Biberach .

Stefanie Bürkle then studied law and political science at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen from 1989 to 1996 . For her studies she received a grant from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation . Bürkle passed the first state examination in 1996 and the second in 1999.

After her legal clerkship at the Ravensburg Regional Court , she worked from the end of 1999 to 2001 in the district office for asylum at the Tübingen regional council . From 2001 to 2009 Bürkle worked in the Biberach district office: after her positions as head of the district building authority and as head of legal and local authority, she was appointed head of Department I with the areas of municipalities, law, health, culture, traffic and order in July 2007. In 2009 she was delegated by the state of Baden-Württemberg as the highest service authority to the personnel department in the Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport Baden-Württemberg .

Political career

On August 15, 2009 she became the first state civil servant in the Biberach district and also headed the construction and environmental department.

Between 2007 and 2013 Bürkle was a member of the state executive committee of the CDU Baden-Württemberg .

In the election of the district council of the Sigmaringen district on April 7, 2014, she received 39 out of 47 votes in the first ballot. Their opponents were Walter Holderried from Lörrach and Marco Schiedt from Pfullendorf . All three candidates were members of the CDU. On July 3, 2014, she was officially introduced to her position as district administrator. At the time of the inauguration, she was the first district administrator in the Tübingen administrative district and the third woman in this office in Baden-Württemberg .

Other offices

In her role as district administrator, Bürkle is also chairwoman of the administrative board of the Hohenzollerische Landesbank Kreissparkasse Sigmaringen as well as chairwoman of the supervisory board of SRH Kliniken Landkreis Sigmaringen GmbH , Verkehrsverbund Neckar-Alb-Donau GmbH and the economic development and location marketing company Landkreis Sigmaringen mbH. She is also the deputy chairwoman of the administrative board of the Oberschwäbische Elektrizitätswerke (OEW) , deputy chairwoman of the Obere Donau nature park association , a member of the supervisory board of the Hohenzollerische Landesbahn AG and the deputy chairwoman of the Oberschwaben Society for History and Culture, and a member of the supervisory board of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG .

Private

The professing Christian is the mother of two sons. She is married to Roland Bürkle , the former mayor of Bad Wurzach .
