Petras Nausėda (born April 19, 1985 in Elektrėnai , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Energija Elektrėnai since the beginning of his career . He is currently the President of the Lithuanian Ice Hockey Federation .

Career

Petras Nausėda began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with SC Energija , for whom he has played since then. With the Lithuanian top club he played in the domestic league as well as in the East European Hockey League , in the second Belarusian league and above all in the Latvian league . In addition to his active career, he is also president of Lietuvos ledo ritulio federacija , the Lithuanian ice hockey association.

International

For Lithuania, Nausėda took part in the U18 world championships in Europe Division 1 2000 , Division II 2001 and 2003 and Division III 2002, and in the U20 sector in the World Championships 2003 , 2004 and 2005 in Division II.

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2003 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2011 , 2012 and 2013 as well as in the World Championships in Division II in 2004 . He also competed for Lithuania in the qualifying tournaments for the Winter Olympics in Turin in 2006 and in Vancouver in 2010 .
