Pfaffenrod is a district of the community of Hosenfeld in the district of Fulda , Hesse . The village is located in the front Vogelsberg and is accessible from the state road 3141.

history

The village is only mentioned in Fulda files in 1582 as belonging to the Fulda Spitalamt ("Pfaffenrode" = clearing of a Pfaffo or priest, clergy). The gentlemen von Dernbach, Fischborn and Lüder were also wealthy. In 1603 the place belonged to the fuldischen court Hosenfeld, which was connected with the fuldischen Oberamt Herbstein from 1752 to 1802. In 1543 only four inhabitants were mentioned, in 1895 the place had a total of 113 inhabitants.

The formerly independent community of Pfaffenrod was incorporated into the large community of Hosenfeld on December 31, 1971 as part of the regional reform of the State of Hesse .

Religions

As of July 30, 2006, 102 residents professed the Catholic and 12 the Protestant religion. No or any other religious community has 11 residents. Pfaffenrod is part of the Roman Catholic parish of St. Peter and St. Paul in Hosenfeld.

Culture and infrastructure

In the old fire station hangs a community bell with the strike tone g and the new symbol of the Otto Glockengießerei company , Bremen-Hemelingen. A decorative hoop can be seen on the brass knuckles and above it is a two-line inscription "Holy Family, please for our parish Pfaffenrod Christmas 1959" with a hoop in between.

At the corner of Rennstrasse and Ringstrasse there is a community hall with a community bakery, community freezer and fire department garage. The volunteer fire department got a new portable pump vehicle (TSF), which is parked in the new hall of vehicle in 1997, the newly built community center with community hall in the 1998th The training rooms for the volunteer fire brigade are also located in the community center.
