Braun under suspicion is a German television film by Axel de Roche from 2007 . It is the twelfth episode of the ARD crime film series Pfarrer Braun with Ottfried Fischer in the title role.

action

Braun is supposed to accompany the novice's vow of loyalty ( perpetual profession ) in a nunnery , but something seems to be wrong in the monastery. Private detective Hermann Rammstet is murdered at night. Braun is the first to discover the body and is mistaken for the murderer. He is only released on bail from the church. In order to get the money back in any case, Hemmelrath allows the pastor to “criminalize” it. The murdered detective had files on some nuns. So the Roßhauptnerin sneaks into the monastery for further research and after discovering a secret passage, Braun gets on the trail of an unexplained murder case long ago.

For Braun under suspicion , the film was shot at locations in Upper Bavaria in Franconia, including Bamberg . The first broadcast took place on Thursday, April 12, 2007 on Das Erste and on ORF 2 .

criticism

The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm gave the film a medium rating, they pointed with the thumb to the side. They stated: "No revelation, but tolerably silly." The criticism in the lexicon of international films saw a "[b] chubby [n] (television) crime film with humorous accents".
