Gilbert von Sohlern

Gilbert Freiherr von Sohlern (born October 19, 1957 in Forchheim ) is a German actor .

Life

Gilbert von Sohlern grew up in Gößweinstein Castle , the seat of the von Sohlern family . He first studied graphic design and took private acting and speaking lessons. In the early 1990s he played in the Links der Isar theater in Munich . After a few leading roles in Kein Platz für Idioten (1993), Schlafes Bruder (1994), Kriminaltango (1994–1995) and appearances at Polizeiruf 110 , in Tatort , in the comedy series Zum Stanglwirt and in Peter Steiner's Theaterstadl , he became known as Kreulich in Die Crime of Professor Capellari .

The great success came in 2002 with the humorous ARD crime series Pfarrer Braun , in which Sohlern played Monsignore Mühlich , the bishop's Adlatus . Mühlich , as the scheming and well-knowing but anemic right hand of Bishop Pastor Braun ( Ottfried Fischer ), was supposed to take the joy of his places of work.

In 2015 he played the weeping willow walter in Brecht / Weill's Threepenny Opera at the Salzburg Festival .
