The Roman Catholic parish church Hart in the Zillertal is surrounded by a cemetery in the hamlet of Hart in the municipality of Hart in the Zillertal in the Schwaz district in Tyrol . It is consecrated to St. Bartholomew and belongs to the dean's office in Zell am Ziller in the Archdiocese of Salzburg . The building is a listed building .

history

The church is first mentioned in a document in 1486. Hart im Zillertal has been an independent vicariate since 1604, and in 1675 the church was elevated to a parish church. The current church was rebuilt in 1734 and 1735 according to plans by Matthias Rangger using the Gothic choir walls.

The church is a baroque hall building with a Gothic core and north tower. The north tower from 1735 has an onion helmet and has architectural paintings. A curved facade gable is located above the western main facade. On the south side is a sundial from 1734. The windows are arched.

The nave is divided into four bays. The one-yoke choir has moved in. Over the nave and choir barrel vaults with stitch caps , which are stored on flat services . These are decorated with remarkable bandwork . The frescoes are by Anton Kirchebner from 1735. The “Glory of St. Bartholomew” is shown in the choir. A dance of angels and the saints Rupert , Virgil , Pirim and Rochus are depicted in the nave . The “ Last Supper ” is depicted under the gallery . On the left side of the triumphal arch the " repentance of Peter " and on the right side the "conversion of Paul " is shown.

Furnishing

The high altar was built around 1740. The altarpiece shows St. Bartholomew. It was painted by Anton Kirchebner in 1748. It is flanked by figures of Saints George , Florian , Pirmin, and Rochus from around 1740. The tabernacle was made in the Rococo style.

The picture on the left side altar shows the "handing over of the scapular to the blessed Simon Stock ". The upper picture represents St. John the Baptist . The upper picture was painted in 1738 by Josef Michael Schmutzer .

The altarpiece on the right side altar shows St. Anthony with St. Leonhard . The top picture from 1735 depicts St. Anna . The tabernacle was made in the Rococo style.

The pulpit with a relief of the church teachers was built around 1780. In the choir is a crucifix from the 17th century. The font from 1627 was officially made by Paul Röpfl . In the nave there are figures of the grandparents of Jesus, Anna and Joachim by Franz Xaver Nissl . The figures of the Holy Family were created by Tobias Plankensteiner in the second half of the 20th century .

The organ prospect was created around 1770.

Bells

One bell was cast at the beginning of the 15th century, the second bell comes from Gregor Löffler from 1555.
