Philine Freifrau von Sell (born on September 25, 1963 in Hamburg as Philine Hofmann ) is a German film director , photographer , screenwriter , film producer and former professor at the HFF University of Television and Film in Munich.

biography

Philine von Sell founded her own film production company in 1986 at the age of 23, Hofmann Productions GmbH , and in 1994, together with two partners, another one, Production House GmbH in Hamburg. In 1996 she was appointed professor at the University of Television and Film Munich , where she established the chair for advertising, PR and image film.

As a screenwriter and director, she develops and produces commercials , business films and image films . Her photographic works and multimedia installations were u. a. shown in the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and in the MuseuMAfricA in Johannesburg. In 2007 the art collection of the German Bundestag acquired a work by Philine von Sell. As an artist, she deals with socially relevant issues.

Since 1999 she has been advising companies and institutions on strategy as well as value-based and authentic communication in the areas of CSR , corporate values , corporate culture and image and develops visual concepts that she implements as a director and photographer. Together with her current husband, the film producer Philipp von Sell, son of the former television director Friedrich-Wilhelm Freiherr von Sell , she set up the media production company HofmannVonSell Film and Media Solutions in 2004 and the HofmannVonSell project gallery in Berlin in 2006 .

In 2011 she founded the communications agency and film production company Circle of Values ​​Communications GmbH , which she also heads as managing director.
