Philip Akin

Philip Akin (born April 18, 1950 in Kingston , Jamaica ) is a Canadian actor of Jamaican origin.

Life

When Philip Akin was three years old, his family emigrated from Jamaica to Oshawa , Canada . He learned the art of acting at the Ryerson Theater School Building in Toronto. He made his first appearance as an actor in the movie Loser Street in 1978. In the next few years, a large number of films and series followed. However, he never made the big breakthrough. In Germany he is best known for his portrayal of Charlie DeSalvo in the television series Highlander . He also appeared in a different role in the spin-off series Raven - The Immortals . In large Hollywood productions such as The Stop or SWAT - The Special Unit , Philip Akin usually only has very small roles.

Akin masters the martial arts Yoshinkan-Aikidō , Taijiquan and Kung Fu .
