Philipp Cuno Christian von Bassewitz (born October 5, 1722 in Lühburg ; † May 12, 1769 in Woltow ) was a privy councilor and court marshal in the Principality of Bayreuth and chief director of the margravial opera .

As chief director of the margravial opera, he created a contemporary German adaptation of the opera L'Huomo by Margravine Wilhelmine (French libretto), which was performed in 1754 on the occasion of Frederick the Great's visit to Bayreuth . He was the bearer of the Grand Cross of the Red Eagle Order .
