Philipp vernacular

Philipp Volksmund , actually Philipp Schmid (born September 25, 1979 in Stuttgart ) is a German singer-songwriter . He lives in Berlin .

Life

Philipp Volksmund was the singer in the band Freistil , which released two albums with BMG Ariola . In 2003 Freistil took part in the preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest . In 2005 he completed the pop course in Hamburg.

From January 2000 to May 2005 he could be seen in the play "Vorstadtkrokodile" at the State Theater in Stuttgart .

He worked as a copywriter at Scholz & Friends and McCann .

Popularly, the singer of the band Die Fraktion , who wrote several hymns for VfB Stuttgart and the song Mario Gomez and the ball goes pure for professional footballer Mario Gómez . He is currently under contract with BMG Rights Management and writes songs for himself as well as for Thomas Godoj , Alexander Klaws , Andreas Bourani , Staubkind , Eisblume or the movie Hanni & Nanni .

On March 9th, 2018 he released his first solo single Flammenwerferherz from the EP "Platz für Neues".

On June 1, 2018, the EP "Platz für Neues" and the second single of the same name were released.

On August 2, 2019 the song 'Storm of Indignation' was released

In February 2020, Philipp Volksmund became the father of a daughter. He wrote her the song "Mavie", which was released on May 8, 2020.

In the summer of 2019, Philipp Volksmund appeared as the opening act at some of the Pur group's open air concerts .

With his band Die Fraktion , he won the German Rock & Pop Prize of the German Rock & Pop Musicians Association in 2011 and the German Radio Prize in 2015 as an author for the 98.8 Kiss FM radio station .
