Pierre Andre Garçon (* 8. August 1986 in Carmel , New York ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of wide receiver . He played for the Indianapolis Colts , the Washington Redskins and the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Garçon, who also played soccer in high school , first attended Norwich University , before moving to the University of Mount Union after just one season . With their team, the Purple Raiders, he won two NCAA Division III championships.

NFL

Indianapolis Colts

Although Garçon only attended a small college, he took part in the 2008 NFL Draft and was selected in the 6th round as a total of 205 players by the Indianapolis Colts . In his rookie season he was only used sporadically and could only catch 4 passes for a total of 23 yards . He scored his first touchdowns in his second season, in the course of which he was able to establish himself as a starter .

Washington Redskins

After four seasons with the Colts, he moved to the Washington Redskins in 2012 , where he signed a five-year contract worth $ 42.5 million , 20.5 of which were guaranteed. He was mostly a starter at the Redskins and was able to score 21 touchdowns for this team.

San Francisco 49ers

In March 2017 Garçon moved to the San Francisco 49ers , with whom he signed a five-year contract. After two seasons marked by injuries, in which he only managed a single touchdown, the 49ers waived Garçon's further services.
