History and description

Leonhard Pilbis von Siegenburg (also Leohnhart Pilbis ), citizen, patrician and councilor of Siegenburg and married to Klara Pilbis, born Freiin von Pfettrach near Landshut, is named in regional records as the builder of the castle, in the middle of the 16th century a two-storey steep roof building instead of the old castle built with bat dormers with two corner projections with an octagonal top and onion hoods .

After that, the castle came to various owners several times. a. to Raimund Fasold von Schäsen, later to Oswald Egg, Hereditary Marshal and Obrist-Wachtmeister, who is considered to be the rebuilder of the castle that was demolished in the Thirty Years War .

  • Erasmus Lampfridsheimer
  • Manager Veit Müller around 1678 for Count Porthia von Lauterbach
  • Herr von Schleiss, nurse in Rottenburg; later his widow Baroness von Schleiß, b. Countess von Maxlrain around 1700

  • Jordan Eduard has been the owner since 1977

After a fire in the 1920s, the building was partially renovated. Only remnants are left of the surrounding wall from the time it was built. Farm and stable buildings as well as a single-storey saddle roof construction date from the 16th to 17th centuries. A two-arched bridge with parapet over the moat and the inner castle gate with adjoining wall date from the 16th century.

The complex still includes the farm and stable buildings, including the farm building, a two-story pitched roof building with plaster frames, essentially assigned to the 16th to 17th centuries, and the Marstall , a single-storey saddle roof building from the 16th and 17th centuries.
