Piotr Turzyński (born September 28, 1964 in Radom ) is a Polish clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Radom .

Life

Piotr Turzyński entered the seminary in Sandomierz in 1982 and received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Sandomierz-Radom on May 28, 1988 . With the establishment of the Diocese of Radom in 1982, he was incardinated in the clergy of the new diocese .

After a brief activity as chaplain , he studied from 1989 to 1992 at the Pontifical Patristic Institute Augustinianum in Rome, where he obtained a licentiate in patristicism . He then studied until 1995 at the Pontifical Gregorian University , where he received his doctorate theologiae . From 1995 he taught at the seminary in Radom. Here he was spiritual from 1995 and from 2006 until his appointment as Bishop Subregens . He was assistant professor at the Institute for Church History and Patrology of the Catholic University of Lublin . Since 2003 he has also been a canon of the Collegiate Chapter in Skarżysko-Kamienna .

Pope Francis appointed him auxiliary bishop in Radom and titular bishop of Usula on January 17, 2015 . He was ordained bishop on February 28 of the same year by Celestino Migliore , Apostolic Nuncio in Poland. Co- consecrators were Wacław Depo , Archbishop of Częstochowa , and Henryk Tomasik , Bishop of Radom.
