The Planfließ is a brook in Brandenburg and meanders to its confluence with the Great Treppelsee. Before it flows into the Great Treppelsee, it flowed through a former horse herd , the so-called (horse) plan , hence the name Planfließ .

course

The brook rises from several sources, one is located northwest of Fünfeichen, halfway to Siehdichum , which gave the today's municipality of Siehdichum its name .

From the alder -covered wet meadows south of the Förstereiweg , it takes its way into the ponds, which were already used in the Middle Ages to dam the stream. A second spring is located from the south bank of the Fünfeichener mill pond in the direction of the village. This combines its course with the plan flow that comes from the pond and now flows towards the Bremsdorfer mill ponds.

The sources cannot be clearly identified, as the stream apparently takes a partially underground course in order to always come to the surface, because within Fünfeichens there are ditches that run directly to the second source, but drain away again. In Bremsdorf, too, there are some small bodies of water and springs that unite with the plan flow. There was once a cutting mill at the old mill pond , but it was destroyed in the Thirty Years War .

On its winding course it leads into the ditch from the Treppelsee , which flows into the Silent Treppelsee , also called sheep wash , east of the Great Treppelsee. Southeast of the Silent Treppelsee, the river then reaches the east bank of the Großer Treppelsee. There is also a small tributary with its mouth a little south of this point. Due to its frequently changing flow speed, the stream shifted its course a few times, this shift leads to oxbow lakes.

nature

The spring meadows are the habitat of various plants, such as bitter foam herb , flooding swaths , milkweed and marsh marigold , but also of animals such as the great butterfly , kingfisher and wren .
