Planning Association (Tyrol)
A planning association in Tyrol is an association of municipalities for the purpose of cross-municipality planning and cooperation. The planning associations are municipal associations according to the Tyrolean municipal code 2001 and thus corporations under public law . On behalf of the state government, the planning associations participate in the creation of regional programs and plans and support the municipalities in matters of local spatial planning and other tasks.

These were formed with the ordinance of the Tyrolean provincial government of December 6, 2005 on the formation of planning associations. By ordinance of May 8, 2007, the planning association Innsbruck and the surrounding area was created, which includes the state capital Innsbruck as well as the adjacent planning associations Seefelder Plateau , Telfs and the surrounding area - Salzstraße, Völs - Kematen and surrounding area - Sellrain, western low mountain range, southeast low mountain range and Hall and surrounding area .
