Plath is a district of the municipality of Lindetal in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
geography
The place is 16 kilometers southeast of Neubrandenburg . The Plath district includes an area of 679 hectares. The neighboring towns are Alt Käbelich in the northeast, Petersdorf in the east, Oltschlott and Hinrichshagen in the southeast, Rehberg in the south, Ballin in the southwest, Köllershof in the west and Leppin in the northwest.
history
Plath - a rural village - was first mentioned in 1298 with the Slavic name Plote , which translated means fence place . Wedege von Plote, hereditary land marshal of Stargard , sold Plath around 1425 to the Wanzka monastery , which owned it until the Reformation. Then the field stone church was built . On July 1, 1950, Plath was incorporated into the municipality of Ballin.
