history

A pilot episode aired on March 30, 1986. After this was successful, the program was broadcast regularly from May 1987, mostly on Mondays or Tuesdays at 9:05 p.m.

The raven, who was also the show's mascot, was called Moritz.

In 2002 the concept was changed slightly. The program was no longer shown weekly at the end of the year, but once a month throughout the year. In the 17th and final season, which was broadcast in 2003, you waived studio audience. In these eight programs the best videos of the past years were shown again. The 150th and final episode ran on July 19, 2003.

On December 28, 2014, a new edition with Judith Rakers started on NDR television . Prominent guests in the first three programs were Stefan Mross , Francis Fulton-Smith and Susanne Holst . The episodes were broadcast at different times and repeated on SWR TV , WDR TV and Bavarian TV .

Prices

For each video broadcast showing funny mishaps, the senders received 300 DM (from 1995 then 400 DM, from 2001 finally 200 €).

For the competition for Germany's funniest video of the week , the participants received 10,000 DM (from 2001 then 5,000 €) depending on the percentage of votes. The winner also won the golden raven . At the end of the year, the best video of the week was selected for the video of the year , which received a platinum raven and a dream trip .

From 2002 onwards, as part of the redesign of the program, the video of the year and thus also the platinum raven were dispensed with . Instead, each winner received a dream trip for the funniest video of the month .

As of 2014, a celebrity received the golden unlucky fellow for the funniest mishap previously selected by the editorial team. This is called Rabea-Marie.

Also presented outtakes from filming television programs or commercials. A prominent person was invited to almost every program to tell of their own mishaps, which were also shown in cut-outs. In the 50th program, which was broadcast in December 1994, there was a special with Max Schautzer's own mishaps.
