Antje-Katrin Kühnemann (also Antje Katrin Kühnemann and, before her divorce, Antje Schaeffer-Kühnemann , born February 22, 1945 in Herzberg am Harz ) is a German doctor and TV presenter .

The daughter of an officer grew up with her mother and three siblings in Munich after the early death of her father. Her family originally came from northern Germany. After graduating from high school in 1965 at St. Anna Mädchen-Oberrealschule (today: Städtisches St. Anna-Gymnasium ), she initially wanted to study art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich , but then decided to study medicine at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1971 she did her doctorate on parotid tumors in childhood . During her time as an assistant doctor, she dealt with diabetes mellitus in the Munich-Schwabing hospital with Hellmut Mehnert , with plastic surgery with Ursula Schmidt-Tintemann in the Klinikum rechts der Isar and with radiology at the Harlaching Municipal Hospital . She then worked at the Neuwittelsbach Hospital , a specialist clinic for internal medicine . From 1979 to the end of 2018 she was the medical director of the Vital-Zentrum GmbH sanatorium in Rottach-Egern .

In June 2010 Kühnemann publicly announced that she had breast cancer. After an operation, she started chemotherapy .

Activity in the media

In 1965, Antje-Katrin Kühnemann began working alongside her studies as the youngest German television announcer at the time for the study program of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation and shortly afterwards for ARD . She carried out this successful activity until 1979. In the 1970s, she was given various moderations in the afternoon program. In addition to children's programs she was responsible for 1972, a 13-part gymnastics -Sendereihe in the Bavarian television and 1973 Telekolleg series Biology II of Südwestfunks . Awards
