The Plymouth Acclaim is a mid-range front-wheel drive sedan offered by the US car manufacturer Plymouth from 1988 to 1995.
The Acclaim appeared in the 1989 model year as the successor to the Plymouth Caravelle ; its sister models in the group were the Dodge Spirit and the 1990 Chrysler LeBaron sedan.
The Acclaim was powered by Chrysler's 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder or a three-liter V6, the latter of which was coupled as standard with a four-speed automatic transmission until 1991 as the basic version, the LE and the LX, later only available in an equipment version. Only in 1989/90 was there a turbo version of the 2.5 liter.
Very minor changes were made to the Acclaim over its lifetime.
Plymouth made a total of 522,000 Acclaim models.
