The Plymouth Model PA was a mid- size car manufactured by Chrysler under the brand name Plymouth in the 1931 model year. The cheapest version of the 2-door economy sedan ("Thrift Sedan") cost only US $ 495, another US $ 95 less than the business coupé in the previous year.

The car still had a side-controlled four-cylinder in-line engine with 3214 cm³, but its output had risen to 56 bhp (41 kW). This year the engine was fitted with rubber mounts for the first time, which made the cars significantly quieter and more comfortable, so that they were even compared with six-cylinder engines from other brands. The bodywork and chassis were also new, and the oval rear window was particularly elegant. The grille now had a figure on the breech.

There was a choice of four-door Phaeton, two- and four-door sedans, two-door standard and roadster coupés, two-door business and sports roadsters and a two-door convertible.

When the model series was replaced by the "New Finer Plymouth" model PB in February 1932 , 106,896 copies were made.
