The Plymouth Turismo was a front-wheel drive sports coupe that was produced from 1982 to 1987 by the US automobile manufacturer Plymouth and was derived from the Plymouth Horizon .

Until 1982 the Turismo was offered under the name Plymouth TC3 and renamed to Turismo for the 1983 model year. At the same time, the Miser economy version was omitted. The program therefore included the basic turismo with a 1.7 l in-line four-cylinder from Volkswagen (63 hp, replaced at the beginning of 1983 by a 1.6-l four-cylinder from Peugeot with 64 hp) or, at an extra charge, the 2.2-l four-cylinder (95 PS) and the Turismo 2.2, in which the large four-cylinder was upgraded to 101 PS.

In the 1984 model year, the Turismo received a facelift with double headlights, a modified bonnet and a wider C-pillar. The engines gained some power; the 1.6-liter came to 65 hp, the 2.2 in the normal version to 97 and in the Turismo 2.2 to 102 hp. At the same time, the vehicle length increased from 4,387 mm to 4,440 mm.

In 1985 the output of the Turismo 2.2 increased to 112 hp and the factory also donated the most powerful Turismo to a front spoiler and sill aprons. For the basic model there was a Duster package in 1985 and 1986 with a rear spoiler, decorative stripes, special seat covers and 13-inch sports steel rims.

In the 1987 model year, the four-cylinder Peugeot and the Turismo 2.2 model were discontinued.

By the end of production in the summer of 1987, a total of 204,000 copies of the Turismo had been built.
