Plymouth Voyager

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Plymouth Voyager was a van that Chrysler manufactured under the brand name Plymouth from 1974 to 2000. The Plymouth Grand Voyager was a slightly larger variant with a longer wheelbase . The vehicles were designed for the North American market and were only officially offered there.

The first series (1974 to 1983) was a large American transporter ("full size van"), which was derived from a similar Dodge model that had been built since 1971 . From 1984 a newly designed, much smaller model was offered under this name. The car largely corresponded to the Chrysler Voyager common in Europe . In North America there are other sister models with partly different equipment, namely the Dodge Caravan and, as a luxury model, the Chrysler Town & Country .

When the Plymouth brand was discontinued in 2001, the models were also given the name Chrysler Voyager in North America , which had been established in Europe for many years.

An overview of the other brands under which this vehicle is sold can be found in the Chrysler Voyager article .
