Polina Andrejewna Miller ( Russian Полина Андреевна Миллер ; born June 9, 2000 in Barnaul , Altai region ) is a Russian sprinter .

Career

Polina Miller gained her first experience in international championships at the U20 European Championships 2017 in Grosseto , where she reached the semi-finals over 200 meters and was eliminated there with 23.92 seconds. In 2018 she qualified for the U20 World Championships in Tampere , where she finished fourth in the 200-meter run with 23.32 seconds . She also qualified in the 400-meter run for the European Championships in Berlin , where she was eliminated in the semifinals with 51.65 seconds. The following year she reached the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow also over 400 meters to the semi-finals and was eliminated there with 52.46 s. She then took part in the mixed 4 x 400 meter relay at the European Games in Minsk and reached 13th place in 3: 21.02 min. Then she won the U20 World Championships in Borås, Sweden in 51.72 s over 400 meters and qualified for the World Championships in Doha , where she was eliminated with 51.96 s in the first round . At the end of October she won the silver medal behind the Bahraini Salwa Eid Naser at the World Military Games in Wuhan in 51.49 seconds and also won the silver medal behind Bahrain in the Russian 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 28.09 minutes.
