Potschmühle is a district of the city of Weißenburg in Bavaria in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

The desert is located a few hundred meters southwest of Suffersheim , directly on the WUG 36 district road . The Schambach flows to the northwest , the Mühlbach , a tributary flows through it.

The mill is said to date from the 10th or 11th century. In 1459 it was first mentioned as Vetschenmühle , in 1565 it was called "bey der fetzer müll" and in 1599 "Potsch Mühl". In 1719 the mill was called "Butschmühle" and in 1822 as "Unterutzmühle". The name probably comes from Middle High German and means something like Knirps, Poltergeist . Until the municipal reform in Bavaria , Potschmühle was a district of Suffersheim in the Weißenburg district in Bavaria .
