Presidential elections in Ghana 1960
The presidential election in Ghana in 1960 took place on April 27, 1960 at the same time as the referendum on Ghana's First Constitution . A total of 2,098,651 voters had registered, 1,140,699 valid votes on the question “Do you accept Kwame Nkrumah or Joseph Boakye Danquah as the first President under the new Constitution?” Were cast.
