General election in Ghana 1992
The 1992 general election in Ghana was held on December 29th. The presidential elections took place on November 3rd. In 1992 the parliamentary elections were held for the first time under the fourth constitution of Ghana after more than 10 years of military dictatorship under Jerry Rawlings . Rawlings won the presidential elections in Ghana in 1992 after his military rule and led the country until 2001. Since the 1992 constitution , elections have been held in Ghana every four years.
