action

Princess Lillifee has a strange dream: the whole world is frozen over, and the unicorn Rosalie, which she meets in a dream, keeps running away even though she calls it. Pupsi the pig and Iwan the hedgehog, whom she tells about it, are sure: it means something. First, however, Lillifee forgets her worries again, because the mice Cindy and Clara have baked apple pie. During the night Lillifee's dream continues: the unicorns ask Lillifee for help and call to her to take good care of Lucy. Something unexpected happens: Suddenly a little unicorn crawls out of the ceiling - it has escaped the magical dream. The Rosarians are happy about Lucy's arrival: They play with the little unicorn foal and feed it as if it were a baby doll. Only Pupsi is not enthusiastic, especially not when Lucy grabs the raspberries that Pupsi has collected and also eats the last piece of cake. And Lillifee ponders why Rosalie sent her daughter to her. The frog Carlos, whom Lillifee asks, doesn't know that either, but he tells her that unicorns have a magic horn: If you touch it, you can make a wish and it will come true. Pupsi tries it out immediately - but the wish recognition does not yet work properly with baby unicorns. Pupsi suddenly finds himself on a high diving platform, dressed in a swimming suit, loses his balance and ends up upside down in the pond - he hadn't wanted that. In Princess Lillifee's huge dressing room, Pupsi is getting new clothes. Lucy also wants to try on shoes and mixes everything up in the process; Lillifee's whole shoes fly around; but Lillifee uses magic to rearrange the chaos. During the night Lillifee hears the voices of the unicorns one more time and realizes that they must be in great danger. She decides to bring Lucy back. Pupsi and Iwan come along and the four of them fly off. The constellation Unicorn shows you the way to Bluetopia, the cold, snow-covered land behind the mountains. But it's so cold there that not only Pupsi is shivering from the cold: Lillifee's wings also freeze, they crash and land in the snow on top of a mountain. The friends set off on foot into the valley. Lillifee wants to conjure up warm things for them, but their magical powers are apparently frozen too. An eagle watches them and reports their arrival in the castle of Winter Prince Eis, the ruler of Bluetopia. Like trophies, his throne room is full of frozen animals and people, including his brother, the summer prince Tau. He reveals his plan to his helper Crunch, an elf who is bound to him by an oath: He also wants to freeze Lucy, the unicorn! Pupsi and Iwan, who have gone ahead, come across an icy, deserted village. Pupsi is looking for something to eat, but only finds a mousetrap. Lucy and Lillifee meet the elf boy Fabian, who warns them: They should go back to Rosarie. Prince Eis comes along with Crunch on a sleigh pulled by penguins. He wants to lure her to his palace with the promise of a delicious meal. But because Lucy instinctively is very afraid of the Winter Prince, Lillifee and the others don't trust him. Prince Eis already shows his true colors: He threatens to freeze her and the penguins grab Pupsi. But Pupsi is able to free himself and the four flee on their toboggan. Ice and the penguins follow them on skis. Suddenly the pursuers stay behind, but the joy of the companions at having escaped only lasts for a short time: They plunge the sledge into a deep gorge! Just in time, Pupsi touches Lucy's horn and wishes to land on something soft. And then they float to the ground in a large marshmallow. In the evening, by the campfire, where they dried themselves after their involuntary bath in the lake, Pupsi wants Lucy to eat more, a huge piece of bacon floats down, so much of which is left after the meal that it serves them as a cozy, if a little sticky duvet serves. In the morning, Princess Lillifee is just about to make a fire when Lucy suddenly disappears - the curious foal is wandering through the icy forest, the three are looking for her. From a distance they hear Lucy's scream: Lucy caught ice cream! They follow the footsteps in the snow until the palace of Prinz Eis appears in front of them, at whose foot lies an icy village - the villagers are trapped under the layer of ice. Prince Eis follows them on his sledge, Lillifee and Iwan fall into a hole in the snow, Pupsi is caught and Crunch has to freeze him. In an ice cave under the village they meet the elf boy Fabian again. He tells them that the ice has frozen up in the castle Lucy's parents. Fabian's old mother, who was once the nanny of ice cream and dew, tells them that ice cream made his brother icy out of jealousy; because nobody liked winter while everyone loved summer. Only the magic of the unicorns can melt the ice - Lucy is the only hope that summer will ever come again in Bluetopia. Fortunately, Lucy is safe - Crunch found her and brought her to them. Lillifee hopes that when Lucy sees her frozen parents, she'll know what to do. Unnoticed by ice, they invade the throne room. Lucy's horn begins to glow magically, but at this very moment she is caught by ice. He orders Crunch to freeze Lucy, but he refuses. So the Winter Prince grabs Lucy's horn and wishes for Crunch's Ice Magic; but he cannot control the magic and freezes himself. But the inhabitants of Bluetopia are still frozen. Now Princess Lillifee has to make a wish so Lucy can break the spell. Will she be able to free the land from the curse?

Characters

Iwan is a hedgehog who is very afraid of flying, but is otherwise very relaxed and often makes his friends laugh with his cheerful disposition.

Clara and Cindy are the caring mouse twin sisters in the castle. They are particularly talented in the kitchen and make delicious jams and the best apple pie Rosariens. They also take care of the unicorn foal Lucy.

Frosch Carlos is a connoisseur and is happy to assist everyone. He knows a lot and takes loving care of his many children.

Unicorn Rosalie is the mother of Lucy and, with her husband Kobalt, has been iced by Prince Eis. As a result, her magical powers, which are hidden in her horn, are deactivated.

production

Princess Lillifee and the Little Unicorn is based on the children's book series Princess Lillifee by Monika Finsterbusch , which is published by Coppenrath Verlag . However, this story was specially made up for this movie. Monika Finsterbusch also worked on the creation of Lillifee's costumes.

After Princess Lillifee , Princess Lillifee and the Little Unicorn is the second film adaptation in the Lillifee series. Preparations for Princess Lillifee and the little unicorn began during the filming of Princess Lillifee.

The film was produced by Caligari Film (Gabriele Walther) and WunderWerk (Frank Piscator).

Unlike the first Princess Lillifee film, which was partly made in China, the producers Gabriele Walther and Frank Piscator worked together, this time with an animation studio in Budapest.

Reviews

Kino.de writes: "In the usual ludicrous coloring, the film leads into an eventful story, the content of which, like the visual design, indulges in colorful fantasies." Pink magic land of the little princess Lillifee. And that applies to both the content and animation aspects as well as the team responsible for the second cinema adventure after Monika Finsterbusch's Coppenrath children's books. "
