In 1742 the place with most of Silesia came to Prussia. The place was mentioned as Preisowi (t) z in the book Entries describing Silesia in 1783 , belonged to a Dorothea von Werner and was in the Tost and Gleiwitz district of the Principality of Opole . At that time he had three farms , a Catholic church and school, 41 farmers, 26 gardeners , a few cottagers and 340 residents. Later the place changed from the district of Tost to the district of Rybnik. In 1865 Preiswitz consisted of a village and a manor. The manor belonged to District Deputy Guido von Raczek. The Vorwerke Briegerhof, Miserauerhof, Oberhof and Maczeborniahof belonged to the manor. At that time, the place had 21 farmers, 15 half-farmers, 18 gardeners, eleven half-gardeners, five field farmers, eight local farmers and four millers, as well as a donated hospital for three poor people. The community also included the Miserauer Mühle, the Meisersche Mühle, the Briegerhofer Mühle and a road lift. The two-class Catholic school had 226 students at that time.

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 340 people eligible to vote in town voted for Upper Silesia to remain with Germany and 889 for membership in Poland. Preiswitz came to Poland after the division of Upper Silesia in 1922. Until 1922 the place was in the district of Tost-Gleiwitz .
