action

Ben Keats is a successful biochemist who, together with his friend and work colleague Franklin, has succeeded in developing a method with which it is possible to locate people using their DNA using satellite technology . The financially badly troubled company is about to go public and the revolutionary location process will be ready for the market, which means that it can be expected that the company will be able to reorganize itself on its own and that large profits are expected in the near future.

One day, Vincent Palmer, a professional headhunter , makes Ben a lucrative offer that includes not only a seven-figure salary but also shares in the interested company. However, Ben proves himself extremely loyal to his company and declines the offer. Vincent, for whom a professional defeat is out of the question, does not give up and persistently tries to persuade Ben to change his employer.

To do this, he manipulates Ben's wife Emily's car, which then no longer starts, in order to be able to offer her to drive her home. There he met their daughter Alison, with whom he shared show jumping as a hobby and was able to win her heart over the spot. Ben is by no means enthusiastic to meet him there and makes him understand this unequivocally. In order to keep in touch with Ben and to be informed about his activities, Vincent first smuggles a secretary who is on his payroll into Ben's office and equips his private house with bugs . He is deliberately spreading rumors among Ben employees that Ben will be leaving the company in the near future. Ben is confronted by Franklin and his staff with these rumors, which Ben vehemently denies.

Ben is hoping for a weekend that he will spend with his wife and daughter, who would like to take part in a show jumping competition, on a horse farm and thereby escape the stress of the past few days. To his amazement, he meets Vincent at the horse farm, who took the liberty of booking a more expensive room for the family and, in particular, of showering Alison with little gifts. Emily then recommends that her husband take Vincent over for a drink in the hotel bar. Vincent takes advantage of the situation and continues to order drinks, instructing the bartender to only pour him water, while Ben always gets high-proof drinks. Heavily drunk, Ben agrees to ride out with Vincent, during which Ben falls from his horse and is left behind by Vincent. Ben understands the news that he will have to fear for his life should he not accept the offer to change jobs. However, he continues to decline the offer and immediately drives home with his family.

Back in his own four walls, he finds the surveillance technology installed by Vincent in many rooms, which he removes. During a last meeting with Vincent, Ben pours him the self-developed liquid unnoticed, with the help of which he can then monitor Vincent's further steps via satellite technology. In this way he manages to get his family to safety before Vincent realizes that Ben has only pretended to accept his job offer.

The two opponents finally meet in Ben's company hall, where Ben kills Vincent in the final showdown.
