Emmanuel Peterfalvi (born March 17, 1967 in Paris ) is a French - German cabaret artist who became known nationwide for various NDR broadcasts through the character of the TV reporter Alfons .

Life

Emmanuel Peterfalvi grew up in Paris. As a child, he conducted surveys among adults with a cassette recorder . As a teenager, he and two friends ran a pirate station from a Paris attic . After completing his Baccalauréat (French Abitur ) in 1985, Peterfalvi studied communication technology in Paris . In 1991 he came to Germany to avoid completing his military service by working abroad for sixteen months at Premiere . The new pay-TV channel was operated with the participation of the French company Canal + . He got a job as an editor there and stayed in Hamburg permanently even after the end of his intended period of service, after, according to his own statement, he had “fallen in love with Germany and the Germans”.

Peterfalvi has lived in Hamburg since 1991 and has had both French and German citizenship since November 3, 2017 .

Figure of Alfonso

Peterfalvi had his first appearance on German television in 1994 in the first episode of Kalkofes Mattscheibe , when he was employed by the station Premiere . Together with the author Ralf Schulze, he developed the fictional character Alfons . The figure of the “mad reporter” emerged from a “French cliché” that Peterfalvi embodied in ARD magazines since the mid-1990s: in ZAK and private television , in Morgenmagazin and in Brisant - at that time still with a baguette microphone instead of the pompom. The polls later became an integral part of the satirical magazine Extra 3 . The reporter Alfons , always in the same outfit ( damp hair, orange-colored training jacket and oversized microphone with puffy windbreak ), approaches passers-by and asks them absurd questions such as "Would you prefer to be gay or politicians?" Or "Should heterosexuals be allowed to marry?" he speaks in a seemingly awkward manner with a clearly recognizable French accent and gives the impression of a “silly Frenchman” who is not particularly proficient in the German language . The comedy usually consists in the fact that those asked answer the questions in a supposedly extraordinarily open manner and in the process expose themselves with their stereotypes and prejudices.

Since 2006, Peterfalvi has hosted his show Alfons & guests twice a month on Südwestrundfunk , as a follow-up to Rogler's Rasendem Cabaret . He was also having fun at Understanding? to see. In 2007 he was a humor reporter for the ARD show Deutschland laughs . Since January 2009 his program Puschel TV has been broadcast on SWR / SR, WDR, NDR and ARD . Here, too, surveys with the microphone are an integral part. However, he works more as a reporter commenting on events such as the inventors' fair or a battue. In 2010 the second season of Puschel TV was produced, which was broadcast in June and July 2011 on ARD. He has also performed live since 2005 with three different stage programs. Since the 202nd episode on April 26, 2008 he has been moderating the social evening of the Saarland broadcasting company .

From September 2014 to December 2014, Peterfalvi appeared as Alfons together with Urban Priol in the ZDF program Ein Fall fürs All .

Since 2014 Peterfalvi than Alfons occasional appearances in the cabaret telecast the institution . Under the title Bonjour Alfons , he has been casting "a look through his French glasses at the world on Fridays since autumn 2015 on the radio program SWR1 Baden-Württemberg ."

According to Peterfalvis, the orange training jacket is still the same as in the first reports because it is a product of a VEB from the GDR. The jacket comes from a costume rental shop and consists mainly of Dederon . Since all attempts to get a replacement were unsuccessful, he had a second jacket made by a seamstress.
