The paved areas and open pastures with a farm have remained. After the area was made accessible, an elevation of 5 m was raised on the former radar hill, on which the panoramic view Quastholle was built in the spring of 2006. The quast is the western end of the Diemeltaler Butterfly Trail, which was laid out in 2020. This networked 20 lime grasslands over 152 kilometers.

The kite festival, a live role-playing game with up to 5000 participants, takes place every year on the quast .
