Queen of Europe
The title Queen of Europe has been awarded by various organizations at different beauty pageants since the 1980s :
Miss World title
Queen of Europe - and corresponding titles for the other continents - was awarded from 1981 to 2004 as part of the Miss World competitions. In 2005 and 2006 there was instead Miss World - Northern Europe and Miss World - Southern Europe (as well as Miss World - Africa etc.). From 2007 the names were valid again as they were until 2004. In 2015 the corresponding title was Continental Queen of Europe. In 2016 the name was changed again and is now called Miss World Europe .
Queen of the World Corporation competition
A separate competition for the Queen of Europe was carried out by Erich Reindl between 1986 and 2000 . The Austrian event manager had organized the Miss Austria competitions from 1956 to 1958 and the Miss Germany competitions from 1979 to 1984 . In 1988 he founded the Queen of the World . The Queen of Europe competition is (probably already by the organizer) only very inadequately documented.

Competition based in Austria
Clara Popescu is the first person to have signed and given the title of "Queen of Europe". The Romanian Clara Mihaela Popescu has been running a more recent competition since 2007 , who registered the Queen of Europe® brand in Austria in August 2004 . The associated organization is based in Vienna .
Since July 2007, monthly winners have been chosen and published via internet voting ( Queen of Europe Vienna, Girl of the Month July , etc.), and occasionally a Queen of Europe one day . An overall winner was determined from both categories at the end of the year. Since there were only six monthly girls in the first year , the runners-up also made it to the finals. The vast majority of the participants came from Germany and Romania until the end of 2007, so that several candidates from the same country could be represented in the final round.
