Quirin
Quirin is a male given name that is mainly found in Old Bavaria and in the city of Neuss am Rhein (city patron). Quirin is also a common surname. The name comes from Latin, where Quirinus, along with a common first and last name, was the name of a Roman god of war that probably originally came from Sabine mythology ( quiris = Latin spear , lance ).
Translated, Quirin means "the warrior" or more literally "the lance winger".
