The Réart is a coastal river in France that runs in what is now the Pyrénées-Orientales department in the Occitanie region .

The Réart rises under the name Galsérane in the municipality of Montauriol , drains generally in a north-easterly direction through the former historical province of Roussillon and flows 36 km in the municipality of Canet-en-Roussillon into the lagoon lake Étang de Canet-Saint-Nazaire and then into Mediterranean .

Hydrology

In normal weather conditions, the Réart has very little water on the surface and can therefore almost be described as a dry river .
