Saleilles ( Catalan: Salelles ) is a French commune with 5282 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Perpignan and is part of the canton of La Côte Sableuse . The inhabitants are called Saleillencs .

The former route nationale 114 (today's D914) runs through the municipality .

The Réart River runs through the municipality . Saleilles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cabestany in the north, Saint-Nazaire in the east, Alènya in the southeast, Thèza in the south and Perpignan in the west.

In the year 927, the place through which the former Via Domitia led is first mentioned with the church of Saint-Étienne.
