Pollestres is a French commune with 4,887 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Perpignan and is part of the canton of Les Aspres . The inhabitants are called Pollestrencs .

The Réart flows through the municipality , into which the Canterrane flows. Pollestres is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Perpignan in the north, Villeneuve-de-la-Raho in the east, Montescot in the south-east, Bages in the south, Ponteilla in the west and Canohès in the north-west.
