Toulouges ( Catalan: Toluges ) is a French commune with 6,881 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Perpignan and the Canton of Perpignan-6 . The inhabitants are called Toulougiens .
geography
Toulouges is located on the small river La Bassa , which flows into the Têt in Perpignan . Toulouges is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Perpignan in the north-east and east, Canohès in the south, Thuir in the south-west and Le Soler in the west and north-west. Toulouges is located in the Rivesaltes and Côtes du Roussillon wine-growing regions . Among other things, the Muscat de Rivesaltes is grown here.
The former Route nationale 612a (today as Départementstraße 612a) runs through the municipality .
