It belongs to the Arrondissement of Perpignan and is part of the canton of Perpignan-2 . The inhabitants are called Villelonguets .

geography

Villelongue-de-la-Salanque is located in the Salanque countryside between Perpignan and the Mediterranean coast . The river Têt forms the southern boundary of the municipality. Villelongue-de-la-Salanque is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Torreilles in the north, Sainte-Marie-la-Mer in the east, Canet-en-Roussillon in the southeast, Perpignan in the south, Bompas in the east and Claira in the northwest.
