Montner ( identical in Catalan ) is a place and a municipality in southern France with 348 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in the Occitania region in the Fenouillèdes landscape .
location
The place Montner is at an altitude of about 100 to 130 m above sea level. d. M. in the north-eastern foothills of the Pyrenees and is about 28 kilometers (driving distance) in a north-westerly direction from Perpignan .

Traditionally, the residents lived as self-sufficient food from their (wine) fields and from a little cattle-raising (sheep, goats, chickens).
