Mas de las Fonts castle

Calce is a municipality with 210 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in the Occitania region in southwest France . Calce is part of the canton of Le Ribéral (until 2015: canton of Saint-Estève ). The inhabitants are called Calçois or Calcéens .

geography

Calce is located about nine kilometers northwest of the city center of Perpignan on the Agly River and is in the wine-growing regions of Rivesaltes and Côtes du Roussillon and Côtes du Roussillon-Villages . Calce is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cases-de-Pène in the north, Baixas in the east, Villeneuve-la-Rivière in the southeast, Pézilla-la-Rivière in the south, Montner in the west and Estagel in the west.
