Le Soler ( catalan: El Soler ) is a French commune in the department of Pyrenees-Orientales in the region Occitania . The municipality has an area of 10.35 km² and has 7710 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). Le Soler belongs to the Arrondissement of Perpignan and the canton of La Vallée de la Têt .

Le Soler, which lies on the Têt, is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villeneuve-la-Rivière in the north, Baho in the northeast, Perpignan in the east, Toulouges in the southeast, Thuir in the south and southwest, Saint-Feliur-d'Avall in the west and Pézilla -la-Rivière in the northwest.
Le Soler is part of the Rivesaltes and Côtes du Roussillon wine-growing regions . Among other things, the Muscat de Rivesaltes is produced here . The national route 116 runs through the municipality . The station is on the Perpignan – Villefranche-de-Conflent line .
The municipality includes the localities of Sainte-Eugénie, Cases de Sant Père, Le Mas de l'Eula, Monyas and Campellanes.
history
Le Soler is in Celtic oppidum from the 8th/7. Century BC. Solario Ferréoli is mentioned in the fifth century AD . As an allod, it was given to different landlords in the following centuries. The plague raged here from 1591 to 1592.
