The canton of La Vallée de la Têt is a French canton in the arrondissements of Perpignan and Prades , in the Pyrénées-Orientales department and in the Occitania region ; its main town is Le Soler .
history
The canton was created when the French cantons were redistributed in 2015. Its communes come from the former cantons of Millas (8 of the 9 communes) and Vinça (2 of the 18 communes).

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the four candidate pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, Damienne Beffara / Robert Olive (both PS) won against Sandrine Dogor / Robert Rappelin (both FN ) and Robert Raynaud / Armelle Revel-Fourcade (both Union de la Droite) with 40 votes .86% (turnout: 63.29%).
