The canton Rivesaltes was 2015 a French constituency in the district Perpignan , in the department of Pyrenees-Orientales and the region Languedoc-Roussillon . Its main town was Rivesaltes . Jean-Jacques Lopez ( PS ) was last representative in the General Council of the Département from 1998 to 2015 .

The canton was 243.98 km² and had 26,526 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012).
