Corneilla-la-Rivière ( Catalan: Cornellà de la Ribera ) is a French commune in the department of Pyrenees-Orientales in the region Occitania . The municipality has an area of 11.9 km² and has 1,991 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). Corneilla-la-Rivière belongs to the Prades arrondissement and is part of the canton of La Vallée de la Têt (until 2015: canton of Millas ). The inhabitants are called Corneillanais (es) .
geography
Corneilla-la-Rivière is bounded to the south by the river Têt and lies in the Ribéral region . The Côtes du Roussillon-Villages wine-growing region extends into the municipality . Corneilla-la-Rivière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montner in the north and north-west, Pézilla-la-Rivière in the east, Saint-Féliu-d'Avall in the south and south-east, Saint-Féliu-d'Amont in the south and Millas in the west.
