Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet ( Occitan : Sant Pau de Fenolhet ) is a southern French municipality with 1,812 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in the Occitania region . Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet belongs to the Arrondissement of Prades and the canton of La Vallée de l'Agly (until 2015: canton of Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Paulais .

Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet is located in a valley of the Fenouillèdes at the confluence of the Boulzane and the Agly . The municipality is part of the Rivesaltes and Côtes du Roussillon wine-growing regions . Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet is surrounded by the neighboring communities Cubières-sur-Cinoble in the north and north-west, Soulatgé in the north, Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse in the north-east, Maury in the east, Lesquerde in the south and south-east, Saint-Martin-de- Fenouillet in the south and south-west, Fosse in the south-west, Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes in the west and Prugnanes in the west and north-west.
The former Routes nationales 117 and 619 run through the municipality .
